Aksinja Kermauner

Dr. Aksinja Kermauner is a writer, lecturer in special education, professor of Slovenian language and fine arts. She leads projects for better inclusion of people with disabilities in society, writes articles and scientific monographs. She has written 41 books for children, young people and adults, mainly about and for children with sensory impairments (tactile picture books). She is the recipient of many awards. She is a member of the Slovene Writers' Association and vice-president of the Slovene Association of Special and Rehabilitation Educators.
