Suzana Bricelj

Suzana Bricelj graduated in visual communications from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana in 1998. She also trained abroad and in 1996 studied in Bratislava at the Visoka škola vytvarnih umeni. Between 2000 and 2002 she lived in Paris. During her first year there she attended the Ecole Superieure d'arts graphiques and in the second year the Ecole Superieure des Arts Decoratives. The main focus of her creative work is illustrating. She says illustrating makes her happy because through it she can tell a story in a playful way, without the irony or cynicism which is often present in the adult world. She received the Golden Bird Award in 1998.
