Seemingly diverse stories have, actually, a lot in common. As the attentive reader will quickly notice, they are all part of the same narrative world, within which the otherwise unique paths of protagonists touch and intertwine. This world is in many ways unusual, grotesque, and fantastic, but on the other hand strikingly similar to our world of modern Western man, alienated from himself, others, and his living environment. Stories to Ease the End of the World show a high level of social awareness and understanding of the neuralgic points of the present, however, they also mesmerize with humor and sophisticated touch for storytelling and suspense.
