Švrk: A Truly Awesome Dog Biography

Švrk is a mixed-breed dog from an animal shelter, introduced by fate to Primož. Love at first sight is mutual, but what if Primož has a mother who does not want to except this new canine family member. Yes, humanoids can be a nuisance, but Mom caves and soon new challenges are on the horizon: Švrk's former shelter is about to be demolished. What will happen to his canine friends? Something will have to be done! The action in which schoolchildren, parents and dogs participate is a success, and Švrk, Primož and Simona are already thinking about new victories.

The novel, appropriately subtitled "A truly awesome dog biography", is action-packed and exciting, but also comes with a pinch of romance between Primož and Simona, and a good measure of social engagement is likewise present. The dog's first-person narrative allows us to see both dogs and ourselves in a new light, which make it a perfect read for all animal lovers.
