A parish priest is murdered in a brutal fashion. The local police inspector Bojan Kos takes on the case, with the help of his young colleagues, the noble and insecure Simon and the insufferable psychologist Edi. Together, they must discover not only who wielded the electric drill, but also how do a mysterious midnight organ player, village gossips, archangel Michael and the Second World War partisans fit in the picture.
The novel, full of unexpected twists, takes place in a typical countryside, and is a mixture of social satire and murder mystery, with some fantastic elements, rounded characters, and an excellent sense of humour.
