Mateja Gomboc

Mateja Gomboc (1964) is a writer, translator and professor. She expresses her joy for life in her books, both in those for the youngest readership and adults. She is not afraid to tackle any topic, including the most difficult ones, where hugs and comforting are needed, but also happy and fun ones, as laughter invigorates and opens the way forward. Gomboc won the Desetnica Award for Best Youth Novel for her work The Ballad of a Tree.
