Stories from the Duchy of Carniola: A Dragon Above the Town

Product Description

If you are interested in what are the forbidden books, what is the stone of wisdom and who are the scary beaked apparitions, you are in the right place!

Martin travels to Ljubljana, where he marvels at the city's customs. When a stranger thrusts a book into his hands, his stay in town is turned upside down. He joins a colorful group that teaches him about forbidden books which also help them rescue their comrade Krakar from prison.

It is the second book from the collection Stories of the Duchy of Carniola (the first is Witch Hunt), in which the author describes the interesting and exciting events of Valvasor's young squire Martin. First, we follow a fictitious story based on historical facts, and at the end of the book we receive some fascinating information about certain people, customs, and phenomena of that time period.
