Petja Rijavec (1971) is an author who puts her heart and soul into writing, which is why she also built a career in the related field of communication, more specifically in public relations. She is the recipient of several international awards, and has been employed as a PR professional in one of the largest Slovene business groups for over twenty years. All five of her novels, which she prefers to write in the role of the opposite sex, have been published by Miš Publishing. Rijavec says that she finds healthy, intelligent, sometimes even borderline male humour particularly fascinating, and hence prefers to seek inspiration from authors such as Michal Viewegh, Raymond Kluun and Kari Hotakainen. She loves word games, long sentences, lucid dialogues, fun comparisons and, above all, challenges in complex content creation, which is something that is always on her mind and which she wants to fit in between two covers. She refuses to acknowledge the fact that all topics have already been treated.
Petja Rijavec lives with her family in Grosuplje. In addition to travelling, running, reading and endless walks with her dog, her favourite pastime is, of course, writing.
